I have literally yet to see an account on Tumblr who even loosely calls itself “social justice” that doesn’t descend into masturbatory bullshit and, you know, doesn’t actually do anything to help anyone, but instead rips apart and ridicules anyone who either misspeaks in a related conversation or would otherwise be on the positive, same side of the cause.

What they have taught me, is if you get upset and irrational enough, hate and hate magically fixes hate. Unless it’s hate speech, then hate, hate, hate, plus hate, fixes hate.

Finals week starts Tuesday, any advice homie?

Study if that’s your thing. Don’t, if that’s it, too. Try to get rest. And when you find yourself “unable to sleep” put your phone on airplane mode and turn off the damn computer. It’s amazing how simple and effective it is.

Nah, deviantart always dissuaded me with their layout, however awesome some of the content is. I almost did Flickr but they have ridiculous limitations. So, now I use a combination of imgur and native hosting on my site.

Be careful. Wear comfortable clothes / shoes. Know your limits. Taking minor protection (such as a small knife) could always be useful. I heard taking cigarettes with you helps too, even if you don’t smoke. Better to give a gift to a homeless person who may be potentially dangerous than having to fight them.

Bring water. Lights if it’s night / dark place. And if it smells musty and it hasn’t rained in a while, don’t breathe too heavily in the buildings. Don’t test your luck with heights (but doing so provides the best stories).

And the number one thing: if you’re going into an open sewer / tunnel / drain, if it has rained in the last week, do not fucking go in. You won’t come back. Walls of water sporadically, that whole bit.

Good luck and have fun. Take pictures. Be respectful of the places.
